Why did you choose to serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA with College Health Corps?  I truly believe in the importance of feeling community connectedness for personal well-being and overall good health.  When I was in college I had the opportunity to work with Growing Up Healthy and learn about their role in building a healthier Rice County.  Not only did I learn about this specific organization, but also about the potential power and passion available on college campuses.  Working as a VISTA with College Health Corps is an excellent opportunity to deepen my knowledge of the social determinants of health while engaging a population full of potential.
