A learning or work experience that changed meMy VISTA year at Jumpstart in Boston confirmed that I was passionate about working for a nonprofit making a significant impact in the community.  I was fortunate to continue working as a Jumpstart employee for four years following my VISTA year.

Inspirational person/quote:  Jonathan Kozol is an incredible man who has dedicated much of his life to education equality.  He has helped me see inequalities

Place I would most like to visit: Hike between the fishing villages of Cinque Terre, Italy

Favorite food(s):  Blueberries

Favorite holiday: Thanksgiving – low stress, great friends, family, and my favorite foods

One thing I can’t live without: Coffee

Hobbies: Hanging out with my baby and husband, yoga, hiking, music concerts, baseball games, time with friends and family

In 5 years I would like to be: Welcoming the ninth College Health Corps VISTA cohort, ideally doubled in size, serving underserved communities across the state to address the most critical health needs and improving health equality for all Minnesotans.
